Osborne Recruitment are looking for a Financial Controller on behalf our client based in South Ulster. Reporting directly to the MD, working closely with the accounts team, this role will support the delivery of the overall group strategy.
Responsibilities:
Complete and present monthly accounts for all companies.
Ensure accounts show each businesses profit and loss clearly.
Review costs weekly and provide forecasts, budgets, and cash flow plans for business managers.
Prepare and manage the yearly budget, checking margins and product lines.
Oversee KPI reports on sales, products, routes, and customers, ensuring management gets them weekly.
Help prepare annual financial statements and manage year-end processes for auditors and banks.
Ensure compliance with VAT & Corporation Tax, working with Revenue and HMRC.
Complete VAT returns on time.
Assist with Research & Development tax claims for ROI and NI companies.
Oversee payroll and assist when needed.
Supervise stock/inventory team and help implement an ERP system.
Manage grant applications to maximise financial aid.
Work with the PO on levy reconciliation and grant funding.
Essential:
Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA or QBE equivalent) and up to date on current accounting standards and practices, with experience within the Food/Production Industry
Must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making and a hands-on approach
Proven ability to develop and improve working procedures and processes
IT literate, and proficient in Sage 50 accounts and Excel.
