We are currently working with an organisation in East Meath who are looking to hire a Health & Safety Manager to join their team. This is a new role for the organisation where you will be responsible for leading the H&S function across the business. This permanent, full-time role reporting directly to the Centre Manager. This role you will help to maintain a safe working environment organised professional approach and a strong background in H&S. Key Responsibilities:
Completing risk assessments and method statement
Complete H&S audits at all locations and support teams in the development
Investigate accidents and implement corrective and preventative actions
Keep up to date with new legislations and maintaining a working knowledge of all HSE legislations.
Schedule and lead H&S meetings and drive improvements.
Maintaining safety records, including training record & equipment
Deliver safety training and be the Train the Trainer
Review sub-contractors’ safety statement and relevant documentations to ensure compliance and safety regulations
Write policies and procedures for the business for all staff members
Provide guidance to all staff contractor and site visitor on all Health & Safely matters.
Oversee the fire safety function
Ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time
Skills, and Experience:
3+ years’ experience in Health & Safety role
Degree Health & Safety
Strong knowledge of Health &Safety regulations, legislations, and best practices
Experience of implementing Health & Safety management systems, as well as Emergency Preparedness & Response.
Ability to deliver trainingTrain the trainer qualified.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills fluent written and spoken English is required.
Strong PC skills, advanced in MS Office 365. Able to challenge and influence at all levels in an objective and constructive manner
Experience in completing audits
Full clean driving licence required
