We are currently hiring a highly motivated and experienced Finance Systems Manager to join a centralised Finance team supporting a dynamic and rapidly growing organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to lead the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of a suite of finance systems while contributing to process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
Contract: Permanent Role Location: Dublin (Hybrid working model)
About the Finance Systems Manager role: You will lead the operation and development of key finance systems including general ledger, purchase-to-pay, staff expenses, and fixed assets systems. You will manage a small team and collaborate across departments to ensure systems run efficiently, support continuous improvement, and contribute to wider finance strategy objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the effective operation and integration of core finance systems.
Manage a finance systems helpdesk and support ticket resolution for internal users.
Lead system upgrades and ensure appropriate testing, documentation, and rollout.
Supervise and support a team of two direct reports, providing clear guidance and professional development.
Maintain a strong financial control environment and ensure compliance with internal processes.
Work with IT and third-party vendors to troubleshoot and escalate system issues.
Deliver user training and maintain finance systems documentation and manuals.
Monitor system performance and produce regular KPI reports for senior management.
Support the implementation of process improvements and automation opportunities.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts relating to finance systems.
Contribute to cross-functional projects and support broader team initiatives.
The Ideal Finance Systems Manager:
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a finance systems role.
Strong understanding of finance systems and their role in a robust control environment.
Experience with general ledger systems, purchase-to-pay platforms, staff expenses, and fixed asset systems.
Knowledge of Infor SunSystems and Infor Q&A is an advantage.
System and/or accounting qualifications are desirable.
Proven track record in managing or participating in system upgrades or implementations.
Experience with AI and/or robotic process automation (RPA) would be beneficial.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
High level of initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
