Head of Operations

At Osborne we are recruiting for a Head of Operations join the Senior Team of a global and impactful NGO based in South Dublin.
As Head of Operations you will be responsible for the operations of the organisation which includes HR, IT, Logistics and administration and will report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Operations, the efficient running and administration of the offices and the day-to-day operations of the organisation.
  • Responsible for overseeing and optimising the day- to-day operations of the organisation, including, but not limited to, human resources (HR), information technology (IT), and logistics and administration
  • Information Technology, ensuring our programmes and staff are able to carry out their work using secure and efficient IT and communication systems.
  • Human Resources, ensuring policies and procedures covering the organisation’s global workforce, comply with current legislation and best practice.

Requirements:
Essential:

  • The Head of Operations will have strong communication and analytical skills. You will have a strong understanding of good governance and compliance in the NGO sector in Ireland and globally.
  • Strong operational experience across multi-functioning departments and a proven track record on management these departments simultaneously
  • Background leading teams on a multi-country level
  • Excellent political judgement, including the ability to make strategic choices based on sound analysis of potential costs and benefits.
  • A third level qualification, ideally in the area of human rights, human resources, finance, business or other relevant discipline.
  • Personal leadership, initiative and proactivity. Capable of identifying and resolving potential problems before they arise.
  • Sound decision making, extremely well organised and structured in approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English is essential.
  • Have a high level of interpersonal and organisational skills and will lead by example to motivate staff and ensure the values and culture of the organisation are maintained
