Duty Manager for a 4* Hotel

Here at Osborne, we are hiring for a Duty Manager, on behalf of one of our well-known clients. They are dedicated to delivering an exceptional guest experience and are looking for a passionate Duty Manager with a strong focus on Food & Beverage (F&B) to join their team. As a Duty Manager, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing daily operations, with a primary focus on F&B services. You will ensure seamless service across all hotel departments, provide hands-on leadership, and maintain high operational and guest service standards.

Location: Ballinasloe, Co. Galway
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent role
Salary: €30,000 – €35,000
Hours of work: Shift work including weekends, late evenings & mornings etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support hotel operations, working closely with department managers.
  • Lead by example with a hands-on, people-first approach, fostering teamwork and positivity.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service, exceeding expectations at every touchpoint.
  • Step into various departments when needed, keeping standards high and operations smooth.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of all hotel functions to provide effective leadership.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with both team members and senior management.
  • Take on responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management or the Group Management Team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree or diploma in Hotel or Hospitality Management (preferred but not essential).
  • A passionate leader with proven experience in a hospitality management role.
  • 1-2 years of restaurant experience (an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of food, beverages, coffee, wine, and cocktails.
  • Experience in front office operations is a plus.
  • A track record of delivering outstanding guest service and driving sales.
  • Familiarity with Hotsoft and Point of Sale systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
