Traffic Light Operative

The Osborne Tech and Eng team are currently recruiting for the role of Traffic light operator and highway maintenance, to join our client operating in the Highway maintenance sector. The successful incumbent will work with all site and management personnel to ensure all company policies, processes and health and safety legislation is adhered to on all sites.

Requirements:

  • Full Irish drivers licence
  • A previous role working in maintaining traffic operations

Competencies required:

  • Proactive with an ability to work on own initiative and to take the lead where appropriate
  • Super workload to keep on top of duties
  • Flexible and adaptable t work under various conditions
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Ability to work some weekends if needed

Key functions:

  • Develop and conduct audits, toolbox talks and other training activities
  • Working to on-site traffic management plans
  • Basic fault finding and resolution of traffic equipment
  • Signal maintenance and battery exchange
