Company Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Company Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a finance professional looking for a part time position with opportunities for growth and career progression, while playing a key role in the financial management and strategy of the business.

  • Location: Cork City (On-Site)
  • Hours: 24 hours per week (Part-Time)
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Salary: 60 K pro rata

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Process payroll efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank, supplier, and customer accounts.
  • Oversee cash flow management, investment planning, and financial strategy to drive business growth.
  • Liaise with clients, providing financial insights and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years PQE experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and financial forecasting.
  • Experience with cash flow management, investment planning, and financial strategy.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills for client interactions.
