Depot Sales Manager

Osborne is pleased to collaborate with our client, who are currently seeking a highly motivated Depot Sales Manager to join their team in County Kerry on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales, managing a dynamic team, and ensuring the seamless operation of the depot. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the continued success and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the increase of net sales in the assigned area by liaising with customers and prospective customers.
  • Ensure customer needs are met while maintaining a high standard of service quality.
  • Handle sales returns and resolve any customer concerns related to product issues or returns.
  • Report sales performance and customer feedback.
  • Oversee the administration function within the depot, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist with staffing functions, including recruitment, training, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels for the depot's needs.
  • Oversee the correct management of orders, billing, returns, and adjustments to standing orders.
  • Monitor stock movements and perform regular audits to maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure proper management and maintenance of the fleet to meet delivery schedules.
  • Address any issues related to fleet management, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with the Finance Department to monitor and follow up on customer payments.
  • Ensure that the depot complies with all applicable health, safety, and environmental legislation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales and management would be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships with customers, staff, and senior management.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in stock management, fleet management, and administration.
  • Solid understanding of financial processes and debtor management.
  • Full clean driving licence.
