Osborne is currently looking for a Database source code management consultant for one of our leading IT services clients in Dublin. We are specifically looking for candidates with database change management experience using a tool. It is crucial for the candidate to have experience in the development, review, and deployment of database updates. Implementing best practices in database structuring can lead to a more secure and efficient environment.
Experience:
5 years Database Source Code Management SME
Key must have skillsets:
Python
Git / Bitbucket
Oracle and/or SQL Server DBA
PL/SQL development || at least strong knowledge of PLSQL management
Experience with DDL/DML change management tools like TOAD, Redgate Flyway, Liquibase etc.
Additional useful skillsets:
Bitbucket automation
Ansible
AWS/Azure experience and appropriate qualifications
Atlassian including JIRA, Bitbucket etc. 5. Unix/Windows O/S experience
Postgres, Mongo DB etc.
Data governance using masking tools
Must have experience:
Hands on real world experience of implementing, database Code management solution at enterprise level
Oracle DDL / DML code management
Integration with Source Control systems, (ideally GIT)
Cater for parallel
Database development streams in same repo
Encompass multiple repositories
Solution to extend into automated delivery
Clear understanding and definition of branching strategy
Liaison with multiple teams
Development o CI-CD o Database
Definition of required frameworks, source code management controls and standards
Working environment:
You will already have industry experience in managing Database change management using tools
You will know how to control DDL/DML change across a number of parallel development streams as well as Production Support teams.
You will be able to work independently and apply your previous experience to the various applications which use principally Oracle on various UNIX platforms as well as SQL Server on Windows
Excellent communication skills
Experienced self-led individual with initiative and drive
