Finance Manager – North Dublin

They are now seeking a motivated Finance Manager to lead the finance function in Ireland. This is a role offering full autonomy and presenting  a fully qualified accountant the opportunity to make a significant impact while working closely with senior leadership.

The Role:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting directly to the CEO and board.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monthly Financial Reporting: Preparation of management accounts and board meeting packs.
  • Reconciliations & Controls: Preparation of monthly account reconciliations and ensuring a smooth month-end close process.
  • Audit & Compliance: Coordinating the annual audit with external auditors and assisting in the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Tax & VAT Compliance: Assisting with corporation tax returns and liaising with external tax advisers, as well as managing VAT returns.
  • Debt & Credit Management: Preparing and reviewing aged debtor and creditor reports on a monthly basis.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for automation and system digitisation to enhance efficiency in financial processes.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Supporting various financial projects as they arise, including potential involvement in future funding rounds.

About You:
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, capable of working autonomously while also collaborating with senior management. They will have the opportunity to shape the finance function and contribute to the company’s long-term growth strategy.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and logical decision-making.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • A mindset for continuous improvement, always seeking ways to optimise processes.

  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.

Key Requirments:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in industry accounting (construction, waste management, or related sectors an advantage but not essential).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software (Sage 50 experience beneficial but not essential).
  • Experience with system digitisation and automation is highly desirable.
