This role is ideal for a motivated graduate due to complete their studies in spring 2025 or someone who has recently just graduated in 2024.

Salary: €32,000
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Promoting a Safety-First Culture: Support the development and maintenance of a strong health and safety culture by encouraging robust hazard and near-miss reporting across the site.
Conducting Inspections: Regularly carry out safety inspections, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate with departmental representatives to implement corrective and preventative measures.
Training and Communication: Coordinate and support health and safety training programs, ensuring all mandatory training is completed on time. Deliver toolbox talks and safety alerts to foster ongoing improvement.
Emergency Preparedness: Assist in managing fire safety, chemical safety, and vehicle-related emergency procedures.
Contractor Management: Work with the H&S Manager to oversee contractor compliance. Audit contractor activities, review safety documentation, and deliver contractor training programs.
Data Analysis: Analyse safety data to identify trends, address problem areas, and implement proactive solutions to prevent accidents or incidents.
Compliance and Policy Development: Stay up-to-date with H&S regulations, ensure company compliance, and support the continuous review and enhancement of safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
Enterprise System Development: Assist in developing the health and safety enterprise system by identifying improvement opportunities, managing projects, and delivering training on new systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: A relevant qualification in health and safety (completed in 2024 or due to be completed in spring 2025) is required.
Experience: Some practical experience, such as a college work placement, within the health and safety field is required.
Strong communication skills to explain safety procedures clearly and effectively.
Proficient in MS Office and other computer applications.
Exceptional administrative and literacy skills for producing reports and documentation.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail, with the firmness to enforce safety standards where necessary.
