We are currently working with our client a professional construction, development and project management company who are seeking a EHS Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Cork.

Responsibilities:
Assisting the management team with the management of numerous PSCS projects.
Chairing morning whiteboard meetings on the relevant sites.
Maintaining a site training matrix for all craft & staff and arranging/providing training where applicable.
Maintain the safety management CMS system.
Manage the delivery of toolbox talks with all site teams.
Conduct accident/incident investigations.
Be familiar with the contents of the Group safety statement, environment manual, risk assessments, aspects & impacts, legislation and procedures.
Provide advice, guidance, instruction, and training in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including where applicable to sub-contractors, suppliers and visitors to sites).
Carry out internal audits and site inspections in conjunction with Site Management, recommends corrective actions, improvements and document findings.
Prepare in conjunction with site management team a project specific EHS Plan, induction and Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS).
Visit each new project, set up the necessary site safety files registers, abstracts of regulations, posters, SEOR program, etc., and ensure that site establishment complies with the legislation, client regulations and company regulations as a minimum.
Review Contractor Appointments and ensure that correct appointment is carried out and that only competent contractors are used on projects.
Requirements:
Health and Safety degree or diploma.
6+ years’ EHS experience within the engineering/construction industry.
Ability to keep up to date with changes to legislation.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
IT proficient with systems.
Ability to work as part of a team.
