Accounts Payable Manager (12-Month FTC)

A leading financial operations team is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee AP processes, manage an external service provider, and ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations. The role involves team leadership, process improvements, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Reporting To: Financial Operations Manager
  • Salary: €47,800 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Accounts Payable team (6 staff).
  • Oversee supplier payments, ensuring compliance with tax and payment regulations.
  • Manage the AP system (Integra), fraud prevention controls, and data protection.
  • Maintain AP policies, procedures, and internal controls in line with best practices.
  • Manage the external AP service provider and procurement compliance.
  • Drive efficiency, automation, and continuous process improvements.
  • Contribute to financial planning, risk management, and departmental projects.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and customer service standards.

Requirements:
Essential

  • Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or Finance/Business degree).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing a busy team.
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes, tax regulations (VAT, PSWT, RCT), and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage change, improve processes, and meet strict deadlines.

Desirable

  • Qualification in tax and/or project management.
  • Public sector finance experience.
  • Experience with external service providers and Integra software.
