Transport Planner We are delighted to be working with our client who are a multinational Logistics Solutions company who are seeking a Transport Planner to join their team on a Permanent Full time basis based in Cork.

Key Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of preparing the daily transport plan in collaboration with other planners.
Ensure the accuracy of the daily plan, focusing on achieving maximum efficiency in routing for drivers, trucks, and equipment.
Communicate effectively with Transport Administrators to ensure top-quality customer service, including clear communications, timely reporting, and paperwork returns.
Provide daily instructions and updates to drivers, ensuring clarity and relevance.
Monitor driver working hours to ensure balanced workdays and weeks, with regular reviews.
Contribute to driver leave requests and ensure availability of drivers during key periods.
Escalate planning-related matters to the Transport Manager/Operations Manager and safety/HR concerns to the appropriate managers in a timely manner.
Foster continuous improvement in planning processes and operational efficiency.
Uphold the highest standards of customer service in alignment with company values.
Identify potential improvement opportunities and share them with management.
Report quality, safety risks, and opportunities for improvement to supervisors or management.
Provide on-call support outside regular hours on a rotational basis.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar transport planning role.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
