Team Leader – Purchased Material Inspection (PMI)

Location: Swords, Co. Dublin
Type: Permanent

Are you passionate about driving innovation and maintaining high standards in a dynamic, regulated environment? We are seeking a motivated Team Leader for Purchased Material Inspection (PMI) to join our facility in Swords, Co. Dublin.  Salary 45-50k base with excellent benefits.

About the Role:

  • Lead and support daily inspection activities, including component and mechatronic inspections, in a low-volume, high-complexity medical devices environment.
  • Oversee First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), lot inspection activities, and defect dispositioning for rework and confirmation.
  • Manage stock purges, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing and timely resolution.
  • Be responsible for your team’s performance, output KPIs, and serve as the first point of escalation for issues, driving resolutions effectively.
  • Foster strong employee relations and teamwork, implementing schedules and allocating resources for maximum efficiency.
  • Drive problem-solving initiatives, ensuring adherence to good manufacturing practices and process robustness.

What You Bring

  • Leadership Experience: At least 3+ years of experience leading a team in a regulated environment.
  • Educational Background: Diploma in Quality Management, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Quality Inspection Expertise: Proven knowledge of quality inspection activities, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with manufacturing techniques and process controls.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with methodologies such as PCBA Visual Inspection (IPC-A-610), mechanical/visual inspection of fabricated and machined metals, precision linear and non-contact measurement, and inspection of moulded and machined plastics.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration.
