Health & Safety Manager 

We are partnering with a leading safety organisation in Louth who are looking to hire a Health & Safety Manager. This permanent, full-time role reporting directly to the Operations Manager.  In this role you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance is met to the regulations. This role involves conducting risk assessments, organising safety training, investigations and collaborating with various department. This role will be a mix of on the road visiting sites and office based. 

Salary: €60,000k+ DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing risk assessments and method statement 
  • Complete H&S audits at all locations and support teams in the development 
  • Acting as project supervisor construction stage on sites when required
  • Completing accident investigations
  • Provide relevant accident information to the insurer
  • Maintaining safety records, including training records, plant & equipment
  • Manage the safety of company fleet
  • Deliver safety training and tool box talks
  • Attending client meetings nationwide
  • Support and guide on site project managers
  • Provie input to the tendering process for new clients 
  • Manage maintain and develop the safety management system
  • Review sub-contractors’ safety statement and relevant documentations to ensure compliance and safety regulations 

Skills, and Experience:

  • 5 years’+ experience in Health & Safety 
  • Level 8 Degree Health & Safety qualification 
  • Certificates in IOSH 
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and if you have implemented this system, it would be an advantage but not essential 
  • Strong knowledge of H&S regulations and best practices 
  • Able to challenge and influence at all levels in an objective and constructive manner
  • Possesses effective engagement, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical, organisation and communication skills 
  • Experience in completing site audits 
  • Full clean driving licence required
