An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Accountant with a strong background in the manufacturing sector to join our dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who is well-versed in cost accounting and keen to make an impact in a hands-on environment. The successful candidate will contribute to accurate financial reporting, analysis, and cost control, supporting informed decision-making across the business.
Location: North Dublin Salary: €70,000 Hours: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting tasks, including reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting
Prepare, analyse, and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and trends
Collaborate closely with production and procurement teams to optimise cost efficiency
Conduct budget forecasts, financial modelling, and profitability analysis
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
Participate in audits and support continuous improvement in accounting processes
About You:
Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with demonstrable experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
Cost Accounting Knowledge – Prior exposure to cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous
Analytical Skills – Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Accounting Software – Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
Communication – Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
