Litigation Legal Secretary

Our client is a leading law firm who specialises in Civil and Commercial Litigation, Planning and Environmental Law, Conveyancing, Personal Injuries, Medical Negligence, Employment Law, Family Law, and Probate. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Secretary. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of litigation processes and excellent organisational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to solicitors in various areas of law, including civil and commercial litigation.
  • Draft and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare court documents and assist with filing and service.
  • Liaise with clients, courts, and other legal professionals.
  • Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings.
  • Dictaphone typing.
  • Assist with billing and invoicing processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in a litigation environment.
  • Relevant certification or diploma in Legal Studies or a related field would be beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
