Group Financial Accountant

Osborne Recruitment is partnering with a leading company in the industrial services and supply chain solutions industry to recruit a Group Financial Accountant with strong experience in group reporting, data analysis, and financial planning. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic finance function overseeing European operations, which currently span the UK and Czech Republic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Group Financial Reporting: Oversee and ensure the accuracy of consolidated financial statements for the group, adhering to relevant accounting standards and reporting timelines.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Provide in-depth financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and key insights to support strategic decision-making. Prepare detailed reports and presentations (e.g., PowerPoints) for senior management.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist the CFO in developing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic growth goals
  • Financial Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls across the European operations. Handle complex intercompany analysis involving multiple jurisdictions.
  • Tender Support: Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to provide financial expertise for tender submissions, contract negotiations, and risk assessments.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions Support: Assist in evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, performing financial due diligence, and supporting post-acquisition integration.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow forecasting and treasury operations, ensuring effective management of liquidity and working capital.
  • Collaboration with Global Teams: Liaise with international teams in the US and Europe to ensure alignment in financial reporting and support the growth of the European business.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with 3-5 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Strong group reporting experience is essential, including FP&A and reporting up to senior management.
  • Ability to manage multiple systems and work across various jurisdictions.
  • US accounting experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Must be highly motivated, driven, and able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel occasionally within Europe (minimal travel expected).
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
