Junior Account Manager

Here at Osborne, we are hiring for a ‘Junior Account Manager’ for a well-known pharmaceutical company based in Meath. They are a well-established and rapidly growing pharmaceutical company. They are now looking for a motivated and customer-focused Junior Account Manager to join their dynamic team in Ashbourne.
As a Junior Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding relationships with key clients in the pharmaceutical sector.

Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath, Fully on-site
The role: Permanent, full-time role
Salary: €30K salary DOE + quarterly performance related bonuses

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of existing independent customers and buying group members, while actively developing new and growing accounts.
  • Handle both inbound and outbound sales calls, including completing pricing tenders, entering orders, responding to customer queries, and resolving any issues.
  • Utilise the Sage IT System for order processing, stock availability checks, and updating pricing information.
  • Drive sales growth while ensuring profit margins meet required targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers to foster loyalty and trust.
  • Gather customer feedback on competitor pricing, promotions, and stock availability, and provide insights to the Sales Manager.
  • Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • Run relevant reports to analyse customer purchasing trends and identify new opportunities for sales growth.
  • Participate in and contribute to departmental sales meetings, focusing on driving business based on identified opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in sales with 1+ year of experience in an account management role (experience in retail pharmacy is a plus but not essential).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve sales-related issues, and effectively use sales reports.
  • Familiarity with SAGE or other stock management systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
