Executive Officer

Osborne are currently recruiting for an Executive Officer within the Education department for our client with the public sector. This is a 6-month fixed term contract with hybrid working. The ideal candidate will have a strong administration background specifically focused on education quality assurance in a regulatory or professional standards organization.

Salary: €36,044 per annum  (pro rata)

About the Role:

  • Support the implementation of education quality assurance processes in accordance with the Act.
  • Co-ordinate the day-to-day pre-registration education quality assurance processes.
  • Contribute to the development of quality assurance reports, research reports and position papers to Council, Boards and Committees. 
  • Contribute to the recruitment of external panels of experts to carry out quality assurance reviews of education and training programmes.
  • Support and Manage the external panel of experts to carry out quality assurance reviews of education and training programmes. 
  • Contribute to the training of external panels of experts, education providers, registration board members and staff on pre-registration education quality assurance. 
  • Support cross-operational strategic projects to facilitate opening of registers for designated professions under the Act.
  • Undertake research, preparation of position papers and presentation to Boards, as required.
  • Liaise with education providers with regard to quality management activities. 
  • Coordinate the implementation and management of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) system.
  • Encourage and support new and more effective ways of working with the full engagement of the team.
  • Contribute to the development of digital solutions and resources to streamline quality assurance processes.
  • Plan and coordinate stakeholder consultations. 
  • Contribute and support in the development of policies and procedures in line with best practice in quality assurance.
  • Contribute to the development of Registration Board requirements for education and training programmes.
  • Provide administrative support including acting as Secretary to Committees and Boards.
  • Manage the record management system. 
  • Manage performance and supervise staff. 
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Education team and participate fully in any cross functional initiatives.
  • Performing any function that may be assigned by the Education Quality Manager.
