Osborne Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client who are seeking an Operations Manager for their site based in Waterford. This company is an innovative and exciting business focused on the circular economy, in particular on deriving value from the waste society throws away. They are currently processing 7% of Ireland’s household waste with plans to almost double this in the coming years.
Location: Waterford
Salary: €70,000 DOE
Reporting to: Operations Director
Purpose of the role: To lead the growth and improvement of operations to become an industry leading facility that is efficient, effective, compliant and has a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Efficient day to day Operations of the facility in line with established KPI’s
Leading an operations team – including plant supervisors, general operatives & maintenance operatives team
Building, maintaining and continuously improving that team through hiring, onboarding, training and performance reviews
Developing inductions
Writing and implementing SOP’s
Timetabling staff- In compliance with the workplace relations commission
Managing onsite waste storage
Quality control of outgoing material
Working with the EHS Manager to help ensure continued compliance with EPA licence, insurance requirements and the HAS
Working with the EHS Manager to help develop & improve the Environmental, Health & Safety processes and procedures to industry leading standards
Project Management of internal projects such as new equipment for the line, etc.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors
Ensuring that the company achieves value for money in relation to all products and services purchased
Supporting the development of a happy, productive, safe & environmentally responsible culture within the company
