Junior Buyer / Senior Buyer – County Meath

€25k – €35 for Junior and €40 – €60k for Senior – Fully office based – Pension – 20 days annual leave

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management – You will be required to work on new and existing projects as identified in the Product Development Pipeline – this will require research into the market, competitors, trends, pricing, demographics. You will work with other team members to create presentations to our customers- existing and new.
  • Working with our design team to conceptualize the basic design of a product and coordinate with the engineers to achieve pre-determined functions and looks.
  • Sourcing new suppliers globally to support new product requirements. Building the contact list for future product opportunities.
  • Project managing that process to ensure accurate and relevant data
  • Idea generation – Research into new product ideas for all brands and report on this weekly.
  • General administration tasks – Supporting the Product Development team with any product proposals, product presentations.
  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered in a consistent manner and according to agreed procedures and specifications
  • Accurately completing all project-related documentation
  • Liaising with company departments and ensuring good dialogue and smooth information flows

You are a person with experience as a buyer who has the following attributes:

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload and manage your own tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, strong team player but not afraid to go alone on projects.
  • Good research skills and ability to analyse competitors and highlight key points to team members
  • Ability to analyse and identify trends and make recommendations for new product developments
  • Has a post-secondary education or degree in Business or related field and direct experience in a similar role
  • Works in an organized and methodical fashion, with the ability to adapt to project changes quickly. Attention to detail is crucial to the job
  • Experience in a fast moving environment and product development would be ideal
