The Candidate The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role within the Food or Feed or industry with knowledge of Food safety systems and will be a motivated team player. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ experience of working in a manufacturing environment, ideally with a good knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
Location: Kilkenny
Salary: 35k – 38k DOE
Role Responsibilities:
Maintain Food Safety & Quality Management Systems and Standards including ISO 9001, HACCP and customers’ standards together with all quality and regulatory documentation relevant to the company.
Work with the Quality Team to assess compliance of systems, facilities, and procedures through internal audits and assessments, assuring compliance to regulatory requirements and company specifications.
Implement Change Control and maintain appropriate documentation as per procedure
Report non-conformances and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Develop and implement continuous improvement across all areas and initiate a culture of Food Safety responsibility across all levels.
Implement Approved Suppliers Program and review accordingly.
Review customer specifications, raw material specifications, Safety Data Sheets and packaging specifications as required.
Co-ordinate and investigate customer complaints and record as per procedure.
Conduct daily checks across the site to verify compliance.
Co-ordinate the calibration of all testing and measurement devices.
Any other ad hoc duties as and when required.
Essential Requirements
3rd Level degree in Food Science, Agricultural Science or equivalent.
2+ years’ experience in a similar role within the Food/Feed Industry.
Knowledge of quality standards and regulations (e.g. ISO, BRC, HACCP, GMP).
Strong IT skills with knowledge of SAP an advantage.
A motivated team player with excellent communication skills and great attention to detail.
Good organisational skills and problem solving abilities
Flexible to the needs of the business.
