Senior Financial Accountant

Osborne Recruitment is thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Financial Accountant to join a dynamic and expanding property company on a 6 month contract.

This role is based in Dublin 2 and operates on a hybrid working model, providing flexibility and a balanced work environment.

Job Type: 6 month FTC
Salary: €70,000+ DOE
Working Arrangement: Hybrid


Role Overview: The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for supporting in clearing an accounts backlog, managing the audit process, and completing month end accounts.

This role includes managing all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and providing strategic financial support to senior management.


The Financial Accountant will have/be:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software.
  • Strategic and forward-thinking mindset.
  • Hands-on and supportive approach.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the full finance function, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Treasury.
  • Resilient approach to workload management.


The Senior Financial Accountant will:

  • Manage all accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Treasury, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Focus on backlog management, Audit, and Month end.
  • Oversee all financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as KPI reporting.
  • Prepare individual entity accounts and consolidated month-end accounts and reporting packs, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, and KPIs.
  • Provide ongoing support and advice to the FM, MD, CFO, and property management finance teams.
  • Prepare annual budgets.
  • Ensure timely reporting of financial information and excellence in cash flow management.
  • Coordinate the year-end audit process and act as the main point of contact for external parties.
  • Focus on finance process improvements and ERP/IT system updates and rollouts.
  • Maintain day-to-day financial control of the company.
  • Oversee budget, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Manage all transactions posted to financial systems.
  • Liaise with tax advisors regarding annual corporation tax returns and ensure timely submission/payment of VAT/PAYE/DWT returns.
  • Liaise with company secretarial advisors regarding CRO returns.
  • Oversee monthly payroll processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions, reporting, and management reporting.
