Business Development Manager – Perm

Salary: 65K + Commission (80K+ OTE)
Hours: 40 p/w
Annual Leave: 20 Days
Location: Dublin 4

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Communicate with customers and clients via phone, face-to-face meetings, and written channels.
  • Lead Generation: Generate leads, cold-call potential customers, and nurture relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Business Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities and growth areas, staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Strategic Planning: Align your aims and objectives with our company strategy, planning, preparing, and delivering impactful presentations.
  • Tender Management: Manage and submit tender documents, creating compelling proposals that accurately represent our offerings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Managing Director, Operations Team, and other resources to develop bespoke solutions.
  • Industry Engagement: Attend relevant events, conferences, and seminars to maximize brand awareness and stay abreast of trends.
  • Retention Support: Support our retention plan with current clients and actively promote Carroll Food Services across social media channels.

  • Essential Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Tourism, Business Management, or a relevant field.
 

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Business Development: New business activity, including emails, calls, and client visits.
  • Social Media Activity: Active promotion and engagement.
  • Sales Targets: Achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Retention Rate: Maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Tender Success Rate: High success in securing tenders.
  • Experience: 10 years in the Irish hospitality sector, ideally within contract catering, and a minimum of 5 years in business development.
  • Food Passion: Keen interest in food and knowledge of international food trends.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication, with proficiency in English.
  • Tech Savvy: Strong MS PowerPoint skills and proficiency with all Microsoft applications.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills, proactive and organized approach.
  • Mobility: Access to a car and a full clean driver’s licence.
  • Professionalism: A professional demeanour that represents our company.
