Accounts Assistant

The Osborne Finance and Accounting team are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a leading organization within the exhibition and trade show sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to join a thriving and successful organization that are bringing their business to the next level. As a skilled and trustworthy individual who has the ability to implement and develop strong procedures, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the efficient day to day operations of the finance functions, implement controls, analysis and reporting structures.

  • Receive, process & obtain sign off approval on all AP invoices
  • Cost invoices to appropriate P&L cost centre
  • Post invoices to Quickbooks (QB)
  • Prepare invoices for weekly payment run
  • Set up payments on AIB
  • Post all AP payments on QB
  • Ensure all employee expenses are approved. Cost expenses in QB
  • Set up expense payments in AIB
  • Post expense payments in QB
  • Post and cost company credit card in QB
  • Ensure VAT receipts  on file for all expenditure
  • Prepare sales invoices as necessary
  • Post AR cash on a daily basis
  • Prepare supplier set up forms
  • Follow up on unpaid AR as necessary
  • Assist in preparation of bi-monthly VAT returns & quarterly VIES returns
  • Annual G46 VAT return
  • Assist CFO in preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assist CFO in ad-hoc issues as they arise
  • Liaising with third party providers and suppliers as necessary


  • Relevant qualification
  • Very strong technical accounting skills
  • Excellent organisational skills/ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently and take direction accurately
  • Developed IT skills with proficiency in excel & accounting software
  • High level of accuracy and work ethos
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver
  • Trustworthy and discrete with confidential corporate information
