Temporary Gallery Assistant

Osborne are working with a leading arts organisation in Dublin 2 in the recruitment of a Gallery Assistant.This role, working to ensure the successful delivery of an exhibit, is for approximately 3 months and will average 8-12 hours a week.

Salary and Benefits:

Responsibilities of the role:

· Operate the Exhibition Desk, in-house ticketing system and online booking system

· Provide excellent customer service on the phone and online

· Deliver outstanding front-of-house visitor experience

· Assist with keeping public areas in optimum condition

· Conduct general office duties for the Exhibition Desk

· Comply with health and safety guidelines

· Complete other duties as and when required


Requirements of the role:

· Previous experience in a front-of-house environment or customer service

· Proficiency in the box office and EPOS use

· Experience of working with ticketing software

· An enthusiasm and interest for working in an arts and heritage cultural institution

· A professional, polite and courteous manner when dealing with employees and visitors

· Excellent communication skills

· An ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team with minimal supervision

Salary:  €561.46 per week (pro-rata, based on full-time employment of 35 hours a week)

Annual leave: 22 days per annum (for full-time)

Hours of work: Part-time (mostly evenings and weekends), Monday – Sunday. The role will require on average 7hrs 45mins – 13hr 45mins a week, depending on demand.

Duration: 24 June – 6 October 2024 (Women Impressionists Exhibition)
