Quality Environmental Health & Safety Manager

We are partnering with a leading manufacturing organization in Louth to hire a highly skilled Quality EHS Manager. This permanent, full-time management role reports directly to the company directors and includes two direct reports. The QEHS Manager will be responsible for implementing quality, health, safety, and environmental best practices across all service delivery elements, ensuring compliance with legislation, and driving continuous improvement, compliance, and sustainability objectives. This role is ideal for a highly organized, self-driven, and enthusiastic individual who can build rapport across all business functions

Salary €75,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continue to develop and lead the operation and promotion of the company’s business management system (BMS) encompassing a pro-active improvement culture in Quality and EHS systems
  • Facilitate the maintenance and management of quality, environmental, health, safety and wellbeing through systems, audit, inspection and the establishment of high standards and expectations on employees of service excellence and safety awareness behaviours and performance
  • Undertake quality, environmental, health and safety planning, including the setting and measurement of relating KPIs in line with business and client expectations
  • Ensure QEHS requirements are included in all projects
  • Coordination and completion of client Turn over packages
  • Co-ordination and execution of external audits i.e. ISO and EN1090
  • Plan and manage audit schedule for the QESH programme
  • Ensuring development of audit plans and audit follow-up etc.
  • Timely completion of all requested Quality, EHS, Inspection
  • Assist in the delivery of comprehensive operation technical training to promote, develop and sustain a positive Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety awareness culture throughout business operations.
  • Coordinate QESH training needs and engage staff and leadership on performance delivery and culture change
  • Responsible for the coordination of the company EHS meetings and emergency response plan. Partner with the company Operations Manager on the maintenance / management of fire protection systems, emergency and evacuation plans
  • Responsible for the QESH risk assessment programme
  • Oversee environmental compliance and responsible waste management in line with relevant standards

Skills, and Experience:

  • 3rd level qualification in Science/Engineering/ OHS/Environmental
  • Proven experience with QHSE management systems and continuous improvement
  • Understanding of sustainability best practice
  • Experience managing customer/client relationships is essential
  • Strategy development and implementation
  • Project/Change management
  • Able to challenge and influence at all levels in an objective and constructive manner
  • Possesses effective engagement, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
