Commercial Manager – Perm

Salary: 40-50K DOE
Hours: 37.5 hrs p/w
Annual Leave: TBC
Location: 13 Fitzwilliam Street Upper

Key Accountabilities

  • Commercial Relationship Management: Foster strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across IES, the wider group including AllClear, InsureandGo and JustCover, and external suppliers and stakeholders within the travel industry, forming mutually beneficial relationships. Partnership Development: Establish and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders, leveraging synergies to drive mutual growth and success.
  • Performance Monitoring and Financial Management: Monitor commercial performance using key metrics reports on a regular basis, assisting in setting financial targets, budget development, and monitoring.
  • Industry Engagement: Attend industry events and conferences to stay updated on the latest trends and developments, leveraging insights to inform strategic discussions and plans.
  • Board Meeting Support: Support the leadership team in board meetings, providing valuable insights and updates on marketing and commercial activities.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate Pricing, Marketing, and IT teams to ensure alignment and constructive collaboration in strategic initiatives and operational execution.
  • Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with internal teams to deliver competitive pricing strategies for our MGA that resonate with target customers while ensuring profitability and value proposition alignment.
  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Support JC Directors to develop and execute diverse strategies aligned with company objectives to drive accelerated growth, enhancing brand visibility and customer engagement including Return on Investment through PPC Optimisation and digital marketing.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Manage relationships with service providers and existing suppliers, conducting regular reviews to ensure optimal performance and value delivery.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to inform comprehensive business plans, identifying commercial opportunities for expansion and development. Provide recommendations on Product customisation to our MGA.
  • Customer Acquisition and Relationship Cultivation: Support teams focused on acquiring new customers and cultivating relationships with both new and existing clients, fostering long-term loyalty and satisfaction.

Key relationships

  • Forge relationships with various stakeholders including IES Ltd Insurance Director, existing JC Directors, Head of Pricing, Marketing Analyst, Web Manager, CEO, COO, CTO, Head of Marketing, Deputy Head of Marketing, Head of Finance, IT teams, Compliance Manager, and agencies.

Key skills and experience

  • Finance, Marketing or Management background educated to degree level.
  • Proven record in marketing, pricing, sales, and managing client relationships within travel industry.
  • Commercial acumen combined with a strategic mindset.
  • Sound knowledge of performance reporting, financial processes, and budgeting.
  • Commitment to upholding high ethical standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Awareness of Ireland / Wider European regulatory requirements an advantage.
  • Good understanding of digital marketing strategies and platforms, with experience in PPC optimisation and campaign management an advantage
  • Proficient in market research analysis and methodologies.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
