Business Development Manager

At Osborne we are currently recruiting Business development manager to join a leading one stop service company for all your laboratory analytical instrumentation equipment. This is a Travel job and company vehicle will be provided Irish driving License a Must

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving Regional Sales and Margin targets as set by the company.
  • Meeting KPI’s and maintaining appropriate customer related sales information within ProspectSoft Territory is ALL IRELAND including Northern Ireland and some accounts in the UK.
  • To be an active team member, contributing whole heartedly to the success of the Sales Team.
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing and potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs, anticipating new opportunities Maintaining activity reports through the proper use of ProspectSoft and Outlook.
  • Reports include weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis.
  • Develop sales across the companies portfolio of solids separation and filtration and monitoring technologies.
  • Co-operate effectively with Internal Sales Team, Sales Specialists and engineering Team to maximise Client Engagement Activities Monitors competition by gathering and relaying current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques.
  • Contributes to the relationship management with our suppliers, developing business relationships and engaging with manufacturers in joint customer activities.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, participating in manufacturer’s training events; attending trade shows; reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies as appropriate.
  • Have a willingness to undertake appropriate amounts of travel both within and outside of Ireland.
  • Recommends changes in product portfolio, service, and policy by evaluating results, new vendors and competitive developments.
  • To act as a responsible representative of Carl Stuart Ltd. and maintain at all times the best interest of the company, its employees, customers and suppliers.
  • This is a Field Based role with expectation that 60% of time engaged in customer appointments.
  • Observing production processes, conducting research, and finding ways to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Applying scientific principles to solve problems and improve processes related to solids separation, filtration and monitoring.
  • Collaborating with a team of engineers, technicians with partner companies and other professionals to ensure smooth and safe operations
  • Meeting sales goals

Skills Required:

  • We are looking for a BDM Chemical Engineer with expertise in solids separation and filtration and monitoring equipment to join our team and work on various processes involving the optimization and troubleshooting of separation and filtration processes and process monitoring equipment (electrochemistry & spectroscopy).
  • Communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders and clients
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in solids separation, filtration, engineering or process monitoring in industrial settings
  • Solid understanding of the principles and applications of separation and filtration processes and associated monitoring systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills • Good communication, teamwork, and project management skills
  • A willingness to learn new skills and technologies
  • Client relationship development expertise
  • Excellent communication skills
