Lending Officer, Bray, Co. Wicklow €33k-€38k DOE

As a Lending Officer specializing in lending, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding member experiences by efficiently managing loan applications and inquiries. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing loan applications, issuing loans within policy limits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take loan applications from members via telephone, online, or in person, guiding them through the process with expertise and professionalism.
  • Address member inquiries promptly and courteously, whether at the counter or over the telephone, providing accurate information and support.
  • Evaluate loan requests and make informed decisions within prescribed limits, adhering to established policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain cash balances within specified limits, monitoring and reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Strive for continuous professional development by obtaining or working towards relevant qualifications such as QFA (Qualified Financial Advisor).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a lending or financial services role is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
  • Knowledge of lending practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Relevant qualifications such as QFA (Qualified Financial Advisor) or willingness to work towards obtaining them.
