Strategic Business Manager – Permanent – Dublin 2

Osborne is now partnered with one of Europe’s leading specialist Intellectual Property practices which is now seeking to add a Strategic Business Manager to its dynamic and growing team based in fantastic new offices in Dublin 2.

As a core member of this top-rated organisation, you will play a pivotal role in the overall management and development of the practice and its client portfolio. Working with leading Trademark and Patent Attorneys and IP practitioners, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the firm, while also organising and chairing high-level meetings.

Salary: DOE
Hours: 9am to 5pm (Flexitime Mon to Fri)
Annual Leave: 25 days
Location: Dublin 2

Role and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Management of sustained improvement initiatives, maximisation of efficiency, effective collaboration between departments, and optimisation of productivity.
  • Working closely with the Partners and Managers to develop the existing team, while also confidently managing and growing the current client portfolio through business development and retention campaigns.
  • Overseeing the preparation of financial reports, including budgets, monitoring and analysing these on a regular basis to properly advise the Partners on the performance of the practice.
  • Management of the daily activities of the firm, supporting the practice and ensuring correct management of information.

Candidate Characteristics:
A background working with intellectual property is not required for this position, but candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong relevant working background with 5+ years of demonstrable experience in business strategy, client management and executive level collaboration.
  • Minimum Lv.7 qualification (Bachelors level), preferably in the field of Business and/or Financ
  • Excellent track record of problem-solving and decision making
  • Strong communication abilities with all levels of internal and external stakeholder
  • Experience speaking in public and in giving professional presentations.
