Environmental Health and Safety Co-Ordinator

As Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator you will support the EHS Manager in overseeing all aspects of environmental, health, and safety practices across the site

Location: Naas
Salary: €35,000-40,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a robust health and safety culture by managing a comprehensive hazard reporting system, ensuring effective communication with department representatives
  • Lead the audit program, conducting regular safety inspections, preparing reports, and implementing corrective actions
  • Identify and schedule safety training needs
  • Develop and distribute health and safety communications
  • Manage emergency preparedness arrangements, including fire safety, chemical safety, and work-related vehicles
  • Investigate, record, and report accidents and incidents promptly
  • Review and update company risk assessments, safe operating procedures, work instructions, and safety statements
  • Support in overseeing the contractor management program
  • Maintain and update safety management statistics for senior management

Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience:

  • A 3rd level degree in Health and Safety
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Certification as a Manual Handling Instructor, Train the Trainer, and Occupational First Aider
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications and MS Office
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent administrative and literacy skills
  • Attention to detail
