Employment Solicitor – Permanent – Dublin 2

Osborne is currently working on behalf of a superbly regarded, growing, Irish top-10 law practice which is seeking to add a junior Employment Law Solicitor to its market-leading team.

The successful candidate can expect to work on behalf of both employers and employees, dealing with all types of employment issues and situations, delivering practical legal solutions both in respect of Irish law and applicable international/cross-border law.

Salary: DOE
Hours: 9am to 5:30pm (Mon to Fri)
Location: Dublin 2

Role and Responsibilities:
As part of this highly-ranked employment law team, you will have a fantastic opportunity to develop your skillset alongside some of the most high-rated solicitors in the country, and will play a vital role in providing expert legal representation, including, but not limited to the following:

1. Litigation:

  • Dealing with matters before the WRC, Circuit Court and High Court, offering advice to clients on complicated, employment legislation and regulations.
  • Liaising effectively with external counsel.

2. Mediation:

  • Providing top-class mediation advice and representation to ensure matters can be resolved at the earliest possible opportunity
  • Guiding clients through the process, explaining complicated concepts in an understandable manner, and providing timely updates.

3. Transactions & Advisory:

  • Providing commercially focused advice in relation to the employment law issues relating to mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.


Candidate Characteristics:

  • Qualified as a Solicitor in Ireland or England & Wales
  • 1-6 years’ PQE, ideally within the recognised employment law practice of a busy commercial law firm.
  • Experience with staff incentive and benefit programs, RSUs and share option schemes would be advantageous
