Assistant Accountant

A quirky restaurant & bar business is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their growing business, this is a great opportunity to join a unique organisation! This role is office-based Monday to Friday, based in Dublin 7, beside Luas stop
As the bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in achieving, maintaining, and delivering on financial objectives set out by a business and its directors. 
You will actively participate in the financial decisions of the business, provide up-to-date reporting, and analysis, and perform accounts payable & accounts receivable duties

Responsibilities for Role:

  • Prepare accounts to trial balance
  • Produce monthly management accounts
  • Tax Reporting: preparation and submission of tax reports
  • VAT preparation
  • Accounts Receivable/Payable
  • Efficiently manage and track payments and invoices 
  • Payroll Management
  • Accurately processes employee wages and manages payroll taxes 
  • Credit control: Monitor and manage debt commitments, 
  • Budget Preparation: Collaborate in creating departmental budgets, 
  • Cash Flow Projections
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Audit Preparation – Liaise with external accountant regarding all audit work

Requirements for Role:

  • IATI Qualification is essential for this role
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
