Assistant Management Accountant

Our client, an international manufacturing company, is seeking a motivated part-qualified Management Accountant to act as Assistant to the Financial Controller. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional to develop their skills in management accounting and financial analysis within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Location: Naas – Hybrid
Salary: €45K

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of management accounting reports and systems
  • Support the preparation of regular financial reports related to budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis
  • Help analyse financial data and support recommendations for strategic financial decisions
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of cost accounting systems and processes
  • Support the preparation of regular financial reports related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expenses
  • Help analyse cost variances and support recommendations for corrective actions
  • Collaborate with production and operational teams to monitor and control costs
  • Assist in conducting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Provide support in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing cost efficiency and financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified CIMA / ACCA accounting qualification – must have sat some exams, not just exemptions
  • Experience in management accounting or cost accounting
  • Proficiency in balance sheet reconcillitions
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Eagerness to learn and develop professionally in a long-term role
