Business Development Specialist – Instrumentation & Consumables
At Osborne we are currently recruiting for a Business Development Specialist – Instrumentation & Consumablesto join a leading manufacturing organisation that specialises in laboratory equipment.
Territory Counties are Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Roscommon, Sligo, Westmeath and Northern Ireland – Armagh, Antrim, Derry, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone.

Achieving Regional Sales and Margin targets as set by the company.
Meeting KPI’s and maintaining appropriate customer related sales information
Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing and potential sales outlets and other trade factors
Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities
Develop sales across a portfolio of Instrumentation and Consumable agencies
Co-operate effectively with Internal Sales Team, Sales Specialists and engineering Team to maximise Client Engagement Activities
Monitors competition by gathering and relaying current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques
Contributes to the relationship management with the laboratory suppliers, developing business relationships and engaging with manufacturers in joint customer activities
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; participating in manufacturer’s training events; attending trade shows; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies as appropriate
Have a willingness to undertake appropriate amounts of travel both within and outside of Ireland. Recommends changes in product portfolio, service, and policy by evaluating results, new vendors and competitive developments.
Self-driven, results-orientated with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profilt
Practical experience of general laboratory techniques
Third level science degree is essential
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
Meeting sales goals
Prospecting skills/closing skills
Negotiation, problem solving with an ability to meet deadlines, targets and goals
Client relationship skills
