Osborne Executive Search is proudly working with our client, a Global Leader in the design and manufacture of Compressed Air Systems for all types of Manufacturing Industry, to appoint their Country Manager. 
The company is active in the field of generating, treating, and distributing compressed air. It sells its products through a global sales organization consisting of more than 50 foreign subsidiaries in total. The Country Manager Ireland reports directly to the executive board of the company in Germany.
Responsibilities:

  • Development and penetration of new markets (product related and industry related)
  • Further development of appropriate sales channels and strategic partnerships
  • Maintenance of the customer base and acquisition of new customers
  • Development of sales concepts, both overarching and differentiated by market segments
  • Monitoring and coaching of the sales representatives
  • Active support of all operative sales activities regarding key customers by own involvement and presence
  • Sales planning
  • Drawing on top-level customer contacts (key-account support)
  • Carrying out market and competitor analyses
  • Monitoring order processing and coordination with the interfaces to other areas
  • Optimization of the organizational processes in the branch office
  • Sales management, incl. processing quotations and orders and contributing to the permanent improvement of the cost-structures
  • Strategic management of the service unit

Qualifications:

  • Technical education complemented by good business management skills, or commercial training accompanied by an excellent technical understanding, a Business Qualification would be important
  • Broad experience in selling technical products that require explanation to industry
  • A dynamic, sales-oriented person who actively organizes “day-to-day-business”, with at least 5 years of experience in bringing to market technical solutions to clients
  • Strong strategic and entrepreneurial mind-set, and independently development of activities in the market
  • Willingness to travel in Ireland and to Germany
  • Willingness to acquire an in-depth technical understanding of the company's technology and ability to use this after a short period of time
  • Strong sales skills and a proven sales track record for investment goods
  • Broad experience in personnel management incl. basic knowledge of relevant laws
  • The candidate has good consulting skills and has a knack to make potential customers feel enthusiastic about the company's products
  • Know-how in contract law, skilled in both the negotiation and conclusion of contracts
  • Knowledge of IT Systems and Programs
  • Ability to present technical facts comprehensibly and convincingly; very good presentation and speaking skills
