Branch Manager

Our client, the market leading company in the construction supplies sector are looking for a dynamic Branch Manager to oversee the largest store in their group. The Branch Manager holds accountability for overseeing all daily operations within the branch and will play a key role in formulating and executing a comprehensive branch business plan. Their responsibilities include guiding the day-to-day implementation of the business plan to confidently deliver revenue, sales and service growth for their store.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service:

  • Ensure the sales team provides friendly, open, and enthusiastic customer service in both in-person and phone interactions.

  • Undertake customer service duties as required for effective branch management.

Basic Accounting and Computers:

  • Possess an understanding of basic accounting principles and computer skills.

Goal Setting and Development:

  • Collaborate with division managers and sales representatives to establish monthly growth targets and development objectives.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work closely with the Regional Director to drive branch development and ensure service excellence standards are met.

  • Provide regular reports and updates on progress to the Regional Director.

Product/Service Knowledge:

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the groups products and services and stay informed about competitor offerings to maximize sales opportunities.

Performance Improvement:

  • Improve branch performance across key performance measures.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through performance coaching.

  • Lead by example in terms of commitment, enthusiasm, and drive.

Store Management:

  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and properly merchandised store at all times.

Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and controls at all times.

Branch Administration:

  • Oversee and manage branch administration tasks efficiently.

Essential Skills:

  • Must possess an excellent knowledge of Construction Industry
  • Previous management experience
  • High level commercial acumen with the ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Solutions led person, the ability to negotiate challenges to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Accomplished people manager with strong team work ethic
  • The ability to network effectively and engage with stakeholders across the business.
  • Competent in software packages e.g. Excel, MS Word
