Accounts Assistant, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, Salary 30-35k

Are you a skilled and experienced accountant looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and take on a diverse range of responsibilities. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization.  This is an excellent opportunity for a part qualified accountant to join their expanding team, they will fully support you on finishing your exams and nurturing your career.  Based in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford this would suit looking for someone looking to expand their career.

Responsibilities:

  • Invoice PO Matching and Reconciliations: Ensure accuracy in financial transactions by meticulously matching invoices to purchase orders.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Keep our financial records in check through regular and precise bank reconciliations.
  • Tax Returns: Contribute to the compliance of our financial activities by assisting in the preparation of tax returns.
  • Paying Vendors: Efficiently manage vendor payments to uphold positive relationships and financial stability.
  • Credit Control Liaison with Clients: Engage with clients to handle credit control aspects and address any financial concerns.
  • Monitoring Clients Rents: Oversee and monitor clients' rents for the year to maintain a clear financial picture.
  • Net Pay Transfer (NPTs) Reconciliations: Ensure accuracy in net pay transfers through thorough reconciliations.
  • Purchase Invoice Processing: Process purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile Creditors Statements Monthly: Maintain accurate records by reconciling creditors' statements on a monthly basis.
  • Accounts Filing and Archiving: Organize and maintain orderly filing systems for financial documents.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 Years' Previous Experience: Demonstrated experience in an accounting environment.
  • Part Qualified in ACCA
  • Deadline-driven and Flexible: Ability to work to agreed deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Numeracy and Communication Skills: Excellent numeracy skills paired with effective communication abilities.
  • Self-Motivated Team Player: Proven self-motivation with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • SAGE Experience: Previous experience with SAGE is essential.
