Financial Accountant

Permanent

Clara- Hybrid (2 days a week in the office)

€60,000- €65,000 DOE

Here at Osborne, we are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant on behalf of our client who are a top performing cosmetic/manufacturing organisation.

This is an excellent role that offers the potential for career progression and a location commutable from Dublin, Kildare, Cork & more.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and working closely with Heads of Departments and the Finance team to manage the completion and timely reporting of all financial accounts with specific emphasis on month-end reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing & Reviewing GL entries & supporting files as part of month end close.
  • Preparation of monthly management account pack
  • Completion of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate capture of COGS in the manufacturing process to support Gross Margin analysis.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Quarterly preparation of key trends and results analysis for senior management.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting activities including liquidity and financing activities.
  • Cost management, budgeting and variance analysis and commentary on key drivers.
  • Preparation of significant parts of the annual regulatory returns
  • Support to the cash management process/preparation of rolling cash flow statement
  • Currency Maintenance
  • Monitoring cash/liquidity and provide commentary to management on trends and funding requirements.
  • Assist with preparation of files for audit.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Minimum of two years' post qualification experience of working in a finance role producing management accounts
  • Experience of manufacturing business desirable but not essential
  • Experience of month end closing including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and management report production
  • Team player and highly collaborative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Agile and flexible attitude to meet changing priorities.
  • Strong deadline awareness and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Advanced excel skills.
