Job Overview: Our client are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Junior Project Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various engineering activities, by generating technical submittals, device submittals, schedules, delivery dockets, and performing general administrative tasks. Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant tools is essential for this role. The role will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure the efficient and timely completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
Technical Submittals – Create and compile technical submittals for engineering projects, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
Device Submittals and Schedules – Prepare device submittals, outlining equipment specifications, installation requirements, and performance criteria.
Delivery Dockets – Generate and manage delivery dockets, verifying accuracy of delivered materials and equipment.
General Administration – Provide administrative support to the engineering team, including data entry, file management, and document organization.
Communication and Collaboration – Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and external stakeholders to gather information and address inquiries.
Qualifications:
Level 5 or 6 in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or proven work experience with the below)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office software.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferable:
Prior experience in technical documentation, administration, or engineering support is a plus.
Familiarity with project management principles and software tools is desirable.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
BMS/ HVAC experience is an advantage.
