Mortgage Lending Officer
Here at Osborne, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Mortgage Officer on behalf of a well established client in Waterford.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Lending, the successful candidate will be required to:
Support other team members and provide advice and guidance on loan applications.
Participate in annual reviews of all SME and mortgage loan facilities.
Ensure accurate and timely updates to the Head of Lending, the Management Team and The Board of Directors on the progress and performance of SME and mortgage applications.
Ensure the highest standards of compliance with policies and procedures are achieved.
Ensure all documentation relating to the provision of facilities is completed and recorded on the appropriate IT system and available for audit purposes.
Ensure required cooperation with internal and external auditors.
Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a financial institution.
Strong business acumen with ability to interpret business financial statements and key drivers of results.
Proven record in managing credit quality and compliance with policies and procedures.
Experience of coaching and mentoring junior members of a team.
Have a proven track record in delivering results to achieve personal work goals and objectives.
Strong member focus and a proven commitment to service excellence.
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise and manage work load.
Strong negotiation skills with ability to identify key risk issues in negotiation of borrowing facilities and to deliver alternative solutions if required.
An ability to work on own initiative and interact as a part of a highly motivated team.
Well-developed leadership and networking skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
Exemplary governance and ethics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Qualifications:
Full QFA Qualification is essential.
Salary: Depending on experience: €36 – 40k
