At Osborne we are currently recruiting for our client one of Ireland’s most successful homebuilders for an Account Payable Assistant. This is a permanent role and will be based in Dublin 2 and will be based fully onsite in the office. This role will join a friendly and welcoming finance team and play a key role in giving support to the Financial Controller and site management team. They are looking for someone with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, is highly motivated, has strong organisational skills and can work to strict deadlines. Ideal candidates will have strong VAT or RCT experience and coming from sectors including: construction, real estate or practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage AP process for numerous sites and companies – Invoice workflow, new product and pricing uploads.
  • Assisting the month-end close – Creditors Recs / Bank Recs / Credit card Recs.
  • Reconciling and processing purchase invoices to purchase orders in line with delegated authority dealing with any supplier queries in a timely manner.
  • Support the weekly payment runs & clear all invoices when approved for all companies, coordinating RCT filing.
  • Accounts/contract set up – supplier set up / RCT set up / Utility closings.
  •  Helping implement new processes and procedures with the automation of systems.
  •  Supporting the sales function of the business
  •  Dealing with multiple site members and completing ad-hoc tasks
  • Assisting with board packs and year-end audits.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is required.
  • Dext/Sage Accounts software or similar experience is essential.
  • Good knowledge of the construction industry is desirable.
  • Microsoft Office and folder management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be well organised, self-motived, and capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
