Sales Engineer (VALVE Specialist)

Our client is an Irish owned leading supplier of Engineering Components & Process Equipment into the pharmaceutical, bio-technology, life sciences, food and beverage, manufacturing and other highly regulated industry sectors. They are urgently seeking to employ a Sales Engineer (VALVE Specialist) to join their team. The position would be aimed at supporting field activities of the engineering team, conducting technical assessments, selecting and specifying appropriate valves for applications, installations and projects.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Conduct technical assessments and analysis of valves and related systems.
  • Design, select, and specify appropriate valves for various applications and industries.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise and support.
  • Perform valve sizing calculations and hydraulic analysis.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Conduct valve testing, performance evaluations, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to sales and procurement teams.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, installations, and commissioning of valves.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
  • Monitor and evaluate valve performance, reliability, and maintenance requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing technical insights and recommendations.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in valve engineering.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize valve performance and system integration.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients, colleagues, and end-users.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess valve performance and identify improvement opportunities.(Rarely)
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of valve-related activities and projects.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of valve engineering standards and best practices.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and knowledge enhancement in valve engineering.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completed relevant Mechanical engineering qualification or suitable relevant experience within the specific field of valve overhaul / repair / certification
  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience
