Our client is a National Leader in Construction & Building Materials. This graduate role will form part of their Operations Division based in one of the main Munster locations. Successful candidates will report to the Regional Operations Manager and will be required to work closely within his/her allocated areas of operation
Graduates will take part in the company two-year graduate development programme, which will guide you through a semi-structured programme across various areas in the business in order to develop technical, interpersonal, commercial and management skills.
Key areas of responsibility:
Learn & understand the operation and maintenance requirements of mobile and fixed plant and equipment.
Be involved in process projects that target sustainability or efficiency improvements.
Be involved in ensuring the maintenance and progress of the company’s high health, safety and environmental standards.
Co-ordinate and oversee maintenance operations under the guidance of location management.
Ability to communicate information and plans effectively to both employees and contractors.
Candidates should ideally possess:
A relevant third level Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification.
Team player with a positive attitude
A clean driving licence will be required, as a company vehicle is supplied
Good interpersonal skills
Proactive, organised, results driven and self-motivated
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
An ability to operate to strict timelines/deadlines in order to produce results
Strong computer literacy skills
Full, clean driving licence
