Practice Accountant – Blackpool, County Cork

Our client an expanding and well-established accounting practice based in Cork are currently seeking a Practice Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a number of years’ experience working in a practice and will have vast experience in Management Accounting. This opportunity requires an enthusiastic and self-driven individual with exceptional organizational and technical skills.
This is a full-time permanent position based in Blackpool, Cork.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday 9 to 5:30 pm

What you will do:

• Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports and year-end statutory accounts that do not require auditing.
• Assist clients in establishing financial control systems while ensuring compliance with company secretarial requirements.
• Provide guidance to clients on implementing technology-driven best practices to improve efficiency and promote growth.
• Liaising with clients, tax, and company office officials
• Training, delegating, and developing junior staff.
• Client meetings – advice, planning and assistance for professional requirements.
• Assisting with tax compliance and returns in relation to Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Vat and CGT.

What you will need:

• Qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA/CPA certification
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience with a strong background in management accounting.
• Familiarity with accounting software packages such as Relate, Micro Pay, Surf, Receipt Bank, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
