Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and completion of monthly management accounts, monthly reporting pack with analysis of performance, highlighting any variances and trends
Develop and maintaining month-end performance reporting and analysis packs as well as driving the budgeting, forecasting and costing activities within your business unit.
Supporting the commercial team by providing high quality, timely and relevant information to enable great decision-making in the business. Together with your Finance Business Partner you drive for continued improvement and adoption of best practice controls and processes in your business area
Review and analyse performance across the business unit and lead in the delivery of great performance reporting, business control, critical operational metrics and KPIS and adoption of standard processes.
You will be process driven with experience in the core process of order to cash (OTC). You will be a leader in driving and embedding a process led mindset and culture to delivering resilient and sustainable business performance.
Responsible for completing monthly management accounts for business units, ensure on time delivery, integrity and accuracy of the monthly P&L and balance sheet.
Completing the necessary accrual and prepayment activities, analysis, and journal postings.
Compiling month-end accounts within prescribed deadlines.
Ensuring contract compliance by monitoring that all parties strictly adhere to contractual requirements including cost recoveries and LTA.
Interpreting accounts and ability to communicate information, deliver business variance analysis reporting and explanations
Preparing overhead Analysis to include variances and explanations
Working cross-functionally with all Departments to ensure strong financial governance
Deliver LTA Analysis & Tracking by Contract
Internal & external audits
Development and review of internal controls and processes
Lead and support the development and embedding of standard OTC and PTP processes
Support with implementing automatic process to reducing manual processes and to continually improve efficiency for the team
Calculate the Gross margin by customer and by product monthly
Participate in the development of management reporting systems and accounting methods to improve existing procedures or the flow of management information
Qualifications:
Fully qualified Accountant with a track record in a commercial management accounting position
Recent/Previous Industry Experience in FMCG, Logistics or distribution highly advantageous
Strong commercial acumen with experience of financial and sales analysis
Proficient in the use of excel.
Order to cash process experience is critical.
Experience in deploying and developing ERP platforms (Microsoft AX or SAP)
Process improvement experience that can add automated process improving accuracy & consistency through the P&L and Balance Sheet
The role is highly commercial, and you will bring strong numeric and analytical skills
Proven working experience in the area in a similar role
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Competent to work independently & ability to multi-task.
Demonstrated ability to partner with the business and influence key stakeholders.
Strong Interpersonal skills and the confidence to deal with people at different levels throughout the business
Ability to prioritise workload and deliver to deadlines
Team Player, flexible and proactively uses own initiative
