We are delighted to be working with our Client a food manufacturing company who are seeking a Production Supervisor to join their team in Dunmanway on a full time permanent basis.

For You:
 

  • Salary: €40 – €45k DOE
  • Day Shift

Responsibilities:
 

  • Supervise production under the guidance of production manager.
  • Responsible for the management and planning of production taking into consideration all requirements, targets and the customer requirements.
  • Oversee efficient and rapid handling of customer orders to guarantee on time delivery
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures for production operations are adhered to
  • Ensure all Food Safety and Quality procedures are embedded into the production processes
  • Enforce quality control and tracking/ recording programs are in place in production to meet quality objectives
  • Ensure all BRC, ISO and HACCP systems are always functional and adhered to
  • Review and analyse regularly, in conjunction with the Quality team, all production food checks, controls and system’s ensuring their ability to detect and correct problems issues
  • Participating actively in standardization and cost reduction
  • Regularly report performance metrics to Plant Manager (daily, weekly, monthly quarterly) management (Yield reports /Waste Management/ Key performance indicator reports/budget analysis reports

Requirements:
 

  • Minimum 2 years manufacturing supervisory experience
  • Ideally within a food processing environment but may consider other manufacturing experience coupled with the right qualifications
  • Ideally have a Degree or Diploma in food science, process engineering
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes and techniques (Lean and Six Sigma and advantage)
  • Senior knowledge and experience of food safety requirements and quality programs, BRC, ISO & HACCP
  • Experience in leading a team and problem resolution
  • Demonstrated people management skills
  • Strong technical ability
  • Able to motivate, influence, and train people.
  • Excellent attention to detail
